Cutty Sark 2Sail Foundation
Designing, Building and Sailing Modern Clipper Ships throughout the World by an international organisation.
Combining the best from the past and integrating it with the best from the present.
We want to stop the climate change.
As the original Cutty Sark was constructed from materials that came from various countries and during her active life she sailed the seven seas under different flags, we want all our projects to be totally transnational.
As well as being accessible to people of all nations and all walks of life, when finished the ship will sail the world as an ambassador. Living proof that unity between people of all Nations can be developed through traditional sailing ships and the seas.

Sports record holder, and the master of minds, Vladimir is used to making his dreams become reality. He is the project’s leader and inspiration. It was Vladimir’s idea to build a new Cutty Sark and if anybody can make this happen – Vladimir can.
Born and raised in a naval officers family, Vladimir started his sailing career when he was just 14 and has now been sailing the seas for more than 35 years. He graduated from the St Petersburg University of shipbuilding as a naval architect and has worked as an officer on large sailing ships and replicas from 1989. In 1991 Vladimir built his first sailing schooner called St Peter (she can be seen in “Pirates of the Carribean” as the Black Pearl). From 1994-1999 he built and launched a 100ft sailing frigate, an exact replica of Tsar Peter the Great’s 28-gun warship, Shtandart. Vladimir has directed several city festivals and maritime events in St Petersburg. He is President of the non-profit and charitable organisation ‘Shtandart Project’, through which, over the past 17 years, more than 3000 youngsters have received practical training in seamanship, personal skills and leadership abilities.
